Floater Display

On the iTunes page, there is a interesting floater design, however I don't see any options for customizing the look of the floater beyond location, and size. Am I overlooking some obvious feature in the program? Is there a way to make the floater window more interesting than the grayish floater I have now? thanks Norm

You're probably looking at a screenshot showing the Growl integration, for which you need Growl:

Ah, that screenshot is the normal Floater, not Growl. The album cover is pulled across from iTunes, and the rest is turned on and off with checkboxes in the prefs. Size and transparency also. All of the controls are in the same spot (the "General" pane) of the preferences in the same place where the location and size controls are.

So, the grayness that I see in my floater is perhaps because of the level of transparency that I am using? Or if the floater is opaque, does the floater take on some of the characteristics of the album art? I am not at my Mac at the moment to determine if settings change would make the floater look more like it appeared in that web page..

Due to the transparency of the Floater it's appearance is influenced by whatever is behind it. So in the case of the screenshot what you're seeing is the desktop picture that was in place behind the Floater at the time.
