[bug] Separate global menu
-

I have Synergy's preferences set so that the 'show global menu as a separate menu item' option is not enabled. However, upon startup I always get a separate global menu item. I have to open synergy's prefs, enable the option & apply, then disable it and apply for the global menu to disappear.

I can't reproduce that here. Are you sure that you don't have an older version of Synergy installed on your system somewhere? It's possible you installed the new one into ~/Library/PreferencePanes/ and left an older copy behind in /Library/PreferencePanes/...

Nope, all I can find is v1.0a7 in ~/Library/PreferencePanes. Nothing installed in /Library (as I would expect since I used your automatic installer). Not a big deal so I'll wait and see if it persists across the next version.

You could also email me your preferences file and I will take a look at it. The file is ~/Library/Preferences/org.wincent.Synergy.plist.

Sent you my prefs file. Hope there's a clue in there somewhere.

I tried your preferences file here and the problem occurred, so I immediately knew that we were dealing with a corrupt preferences file.
I've found the garbled entry, corrected it, and now it works.
Have sent it back to you via email.
