Description

When a user searches for a tag on the wiki, the results are not sorted by any visible criteria, nor is there an option for user to sort.

Example: https://wincent.dev/tags/red.hat?type=article

I suggest that results from a tag search be sorted by data, with newest to oldest. This presents users with the most up to date content at the top of the results list, which is probably the best default behaviour for the current implementation.

Good point. The order is effectively left up to the database, but you're right that it would be more useful if it were sorted by date order by default, with clickable table headers for sorting by title as well if desired.

Been a while since I looked at this part of the code but I think we might be able to get the result we want with an additional field or two in the ORDER BY clauses of the queries in app/models/taggable.rb.

Ok, done. Will be included in the next deployment.

This doesn't just apply to the wiki search but to the standard tags#show and tags#search (non-scoped) actions as well.
