Apple: AppleScript wins the 2009 Nobel Prize (all categories)

Since its introduction in 1992, AppleScript has proven to be the best tool for making life with a computer a productive experience.

Well, at least that's what Apple's marketing people tell us.

Personally, I've found AppleScript to be one of the most fiddly, brittle, bug-ridden, frustrating pieces of technology to ship with Mac OS X.
