Involuntary Reboot Log 6.2

Major pause (multiple seconds) while typing in Vim, followed by a longer pause (a minute), spinning beach ball, and ultimately a hard lock-up (couldn't even move the mouse pointer). Waited about 3 minutes and decided to do a hard reset.
