Word movement in the Mac OS X TerminalEdit

You can assign these actions to Option-Left an Option-Right respectively in the Advanced tab of the Settings pane in the Terminal preferences:

  • \033b (that is <ESC>b): back a word
  • \033f (that is <ESC>f): forward a word
