Just bashed out a one-page static site using Middleman. It’s pretty much just what the doctor ordered: a quick and easy way to throw together a static site using Rails-like conventions (eg. layouts, helpers and such) and familiar tools from the Rails ecosystem (Haml, Sass, CoffeeScript etc).
